Why aren't Swansea tickets on Sale?

I was just looking at the AFC Bournemouth site and they have the tickets for their clash with Swansea on general sale already which is midweek fixture after our visit to the Liberty?

Probably waiting for the tickets to be sent over from Swansea.
This season it has been a poor trend in the Championship that tickets have been sent quite late on from host clubs to the travelling clubs. Not just Boro tickets but has been noted by fans and supporters organisations through the division.

It's a mystery while they always hold them back. As I've said on here before EFL rules state they must be available to selling club 4 weeks beforehand.

Some will say there is plenty of time, but getting tickets posted etc to your home address just before a game is not always convenient if you aren't always there. There was one occasion that I had to get my neighbour to post a ticket onto me as I was going to a match on my way home from somewhere else.
It really does need to be more in advance and is a persistent problem.

Are Boro as bad as everyone else then?

I don't know - not heard complaints. Fulham and of course Derby were terrible at the start of the season.
I know three or four years ago we brought this up with then Riverside Manager Mark Ellis and he really pushed to get as close as he could to the 4/5 weeks and they tried as a ticket office to push away clubs for tickets. But of course there isn't any sanction.

Looking at Bournemouth site they sell about 4 weeks in advance as per OP

They even have a list showing all the on sale dates for every future game in advance, so I think Boro are well behind in this case.
Shows it can be done

Dates

Just had a look at the Derby site they only started selling them on the 30th March, but the article announcing it was dated 2 April, work that one out.

For info if we get the same then Derby Co had 1970 tickets and the most expensive were £27.50

Again info from Bournemouth site for comparison they were allocated 2077 tickets:

Adults£27.50
Over-65s £15
Full-time students (ID required) £15
Under-18s £12.50
Under-12s £10
Under-5s Free

Only 2,077 - I was hoping for few more say 2,500 - didn't we sell that for Bristol City and these games are getting bigger as we get toward the end of the season.

Swansea City have still not sent the away tickets to Boro. We never put tickets on sale until we physically have them and the details.

Thanks for enquiring and that's very disappointing to hear the response.
Complaint should be made as they are breaking the EFL rules and messing supporters about. No excuse really.

34.3.2 Clubs are required to sell tickets for their away matches if required to do so by the Home Club and similarly Home Clubs are required to supply tickets for their Home Matches to the Away Club for sale by the Away Club to its supporters if so requested by the Away Club. These tickets are to be made available on a sale or return basis and must be ordered by the Away Club at least five weeks before the League Match to which they relate. The Home Club must deliver those tickets to the Away Club at the latest four weeks before the League Match to which they relate. Where any match is arranged at shorter notice the above steps shall be taken as soon as is reasonably practicable. Visiting Supporters should also have the same opportunity to take advantage of pre-booking discounts that apply to home supporters.

It has been happening throughout the season starting with first game away at Fulham when tickets only arrived a couple of weeks before kick off.
I am told tickets will be on sale very soon. Maybe the way Bournemouth sales went getting to General Sale might be a guide for Swansea City.

I'm leaving first thing Tuesday morning after the Huddersfield game for a holiday in South Wales taking in the Swansea game while away.
Royal mail won't be doing much over Easter weekend so I'll have to have tickets delivered by next Thursday. My Saturday post is virtually non existent.

Relying on ticket sales being Monday and ticket office posting them out almost immediately. This leaves it all a bit tight which it really doesn't have to be if all clubs got their act together.

If the tickets don't arrive (or they do but you're not at home to get them) then phone the Boro ticket office the day before the match and they'll arrange duplicates for you to pick up at the ground.

It will be early next week - I have spoken to ticket office, and two senior members of the commercial team about fans concerns - so they all know. But am assured they are confident tickets will be on sale early next week.
