Why are we kicking off so early

Apologies if already discussed but looking at the fixtures on the day other games are kicking off at 2pm ( multiple prem games are) so why are we kicking off so early.

The TV company want as many viewers as possible.

Absolutely no way sky would clash a championship playoff with a Prem game. All huge games and they need give subscribers both. Ours is on main event which sums it up.
Ours is also the poor relation hence the 12pm

In some ways I don't mind the early KO as the 12 noon KOs are usually quite subdued atmospheres which has to be a plus for the away team.

I thought this too. But I went to Cov away last year and they deservedly won, but the second in the 2-0 was late on. Doubt if it was half full, but it was one of their first games back at “home”. Support was great and you couldn’t help but enjoy the 10 min rendition of twist and shout from the noisy corner.
