Why are we a 2pm kick off on Sunday?

Apologies as I have a hazy recollection that this has already been asked, but why are we a 2pm ko on Sunday (away to Sheffield Utd.)?

The only other Championship game on Sunday is at Blackburn with a 3pm ko.
And we aren't a televised game.

Thanks in advance đź‘Ť

Perhaps some of our young lads on the bench are due for Sunday dinner at their Nana's before 5pm?

Strange if we're not televised anywhere.

Knock on from the Commonwealth Games.

They play West Brom in the cup, West Brom are playing tonight because of the games and so their cup match is on Thursday.

The game was moved by the EFL in order to accommodate requests from the Department of Culture, Media, and Sport to enable the scheduling of the Commonwealth Games in the UK during the early part of August.

Thanks all, I thought it was something to do with the Commonwealth Games. But does that not still make the 2pm timing odd?

Honestly the schedules are a joke these days. I’d forgotten about it being Sunday, screws my other plans up.

One home game at 3 pm on a Saturday from the beginning of the season until we play Blackburn on 15 October (unless that moves!).
It's like being in the prem.
