Who would you keep out of that squad ?

If we're being serious.

Steffen, Roberts
Jones, Dijksteel, Bola, Giles
Crooks, Hackney
Muniz, Akpom, Hoppe, Forss

Put Hoppe and Forss there because I have no idea how good they are and Hackney because he looks to have some potential but again I haven't seen enough.

Absolute state of that midfield.

Thing is the new manager may need to use all those players for the next 3 months , so he'll need to keep them onside. Banishing players to train with the kids like Wilder did is absolutely not the way to do things
New manager should give everyone a clean slate and take it from there
Players might be better in different positions or different team formations

They played today as if they are worried about getting a game in the future, and rightly so, because the new man will want his players in.
They should have been busting a gut to show they are worth being a part of the new squad , but they failed miserably.

Steffan ?

We finished 7th with essentially the same squad, so lack of ability isn't the issue and these players havent suddenly become bad overnight.

Losing tav who did all the running in mf though
Yes we've missed him, but suggesting he did ALL the running in midfield is daft really.

But then you also have to counter his loss with improvements in other positions, on paper at least, so I can't accept that this squad of players isn't talented enough to be in and around the top 6 - demonstrably it is.

Need the new man in quickly and he needs to hit the ground running.
