Amazed his name didn't come up on the first page. Was immense.Souness.... Big Jack said we were 2 players from challenging for the top of the old Div 1.
I thought he flattered to deceive, big strong and fast, no footballing brain whatsoever.Traore for me.
yep appalling business made worse by the fact we could of offloaded Gestede to themPatrick Bamford
Was talking to Ray Parlour a few weeks ago at a dinner. Ray really rated him and the squad loved him but he said McLaren hated him and couldn’t wait to get rid of him. He was laughing about how sh1t Pogatetz was at left back when he first replaced him in the team and was no where near Franks level. He always performed on match day but was just lazy in training and would light a cigar after every session and Mclaren used to go mad. Makes sense why he didn’t play much after he left us if he didn’t put the effort in.Queudrue.
Wasn’t it Cattermole that permacrocked Digard aswell?Morrison / Cattermole and Brunt
Morrison was probably the standout one when you look at his career. He also looked half decent with us.
I think it's been publicly said that Cattermole was a mistake. The genuine census is that he was only sold due to 'off field' activities. To replace him with perma crock Digard.
We had absolutely no fight or grit in that midfield. Cattermole would have given us that. He also went on to have a great career despite 'apparent' issues.
Good effort.Boro - should never have sold them 11

Very probably true that, so Peacock in for Bamford then!Bamford couldnt lace Alan Peacock's Boots and we sold him to Leeds for £63,000
£63,000 in 1964 in todays money is £1,419,029 so about £1.5 Million. and when you think Spence went for £12Million, just shows how cheaply we sold Peacock !!!Bamford couldnt lace Alan Peacock's Boots and we sold him to Leeds for £63,000
