Reading the bit about gibbo regretting the sale of cattermole, who do you think was the clubs biggest mistake to sell….

theres been big money sales and players that wanted out but often there’s been players who get sold for no apparent reason…

I get it that catts off field issues may have had bearing in his sale but I was disappointed to see him go…
 
Yeah when i turned on SSN that day at saw he was leaving i was shocked, and really gutted.

Ziege, De Roon, Morrison, Viduka, Luke Young, Given and Geremi also stung.

Controversial given what was to come after, but id say Adam Johnson, would have cost us a few quid as contract was ending, we still would have got some money from tribunal I think as was under 24 but that season he was the standout player in the division and could have got us up with the right players around him.

Would have loved Barmby to play a full season with juno and Rav too.
 
I guess club performance and league position has a lot to do with it but if a player doesn’t want to stay, we can’t keep them…

im more interested in those baffling sales that we didn’t really need to do..
