Who should have replaced Karanka?

It still baffles me to this day why we never got Pearson in.

His transfer business at Leicester was unbelievable.

Watford sacked him when he was turning them around.
Didn’t he fight with a fan at Leicester?

Can’t imagine that would go down great at the Boro.

We should of gotten a Spanish guy in to get our Spanish stars to play for us instead of them deserting us also a guy that would of sorted out gaston Ramirez. Made us fight to stay up

Valdes was a knob, Espinosa was injured, Barragan was dump, Ramirez couldn't keep his winkie in his pants

Anyone.

Going with Agnew was a joke, still makes me angry to this day. Talk about abject surrender.

So much effort and so many years to get back to the Premier League, and with a quarter of the season and three points off safety, we just gave up. His record as caretaker across all his spells is absolutely appalling, look it up.

We seemed to give up after being turned over by Everton and Spurs early in the season, Karankas refusal to make changes when going behind were criminal, Southampton away before Christmas (which I drove to) being a key one.

That said why did Gibson not back the manager in January if he was going to throw 50 million at it the following summer.I honestly think gibson thought we would get more value for money spending in the championship than the premier league as wages would be lower, problem was he trusted a charlatan like monk to spend it wisely.

Agnew was an utter disaster and completely the wrong choice to keep us up but again I think this was partly gibsons plan to bounce back at the first attempt following relegation. In truth I don’t think he can afford to keep boro as a prem team (even with his £200M net worth) given the wages floating about and the lack of value for money you get fighting for 17th spot every year

That was a really badly handled period by the club. After all that time and money spent to get back to the prem it all went wrong quite quickly.
All more money spent by a new manager who didn’t last six months. New guy comes in who didn’t fancy the new players.

I remember one home game early in Pulis tenure and we needed a goal at home. Record signing Britt was on the bench, £7m Fletcher was out on loan and £9m Braithwaite not even in the country. Shambles.

At least we had Branford and Traore, for about two more months.

I'd have liked us to have shown a bit of imagination. Maybe Keegan or Maradona, give the place a lift.
Or offer Fergie £5m to come out of retirement and keep us up.

Valdes was a knob. He never played another professional game again after that Manchester United match with those “mistakes”.

that was probably as close to our best starting line up we had that season 4-1-4-1
just a shame we couldn't back it up
