Who`s our best ever goalie? + "Bettinelli picks favourite Boro game and save" [Gazette]

This is a proper conundrum as each time I go to name them in order I change my mind . I’m going Platt , ( sod it I can’t choose between Pears and Skippy for 2nd and 3rd ). They were such differing magical times in their own ways
 
Pears made the England squad playing for unfashionable Boro whilst in Division 2 which says a hell of a lot when most England players were Div 1 Londoners. His shot stopping and handling were fantastic.

All that said, I'd rate Schwarzer above him since he was so consistent and most of his games for us were in the top flight.

That Pears performance v Leicester was incredible though. Kevin Campbell had about 5 one-on-ones with him which he lost. He must still have nightmares about it now.

Platt would’ve had a lot more caps for NI if it hadn’t been for Pat Jennings
 
Schwarzer by a clear distance - I also think he was the best value signing the club has ever made, given how long he was here, even better than Bernie.
