Unfortunately I'm not as tolerant as all of you good folk, and once the little buggers invaded the house I had to cut it off at the source!

Ants can be annoying in the garden. Left them be one year and had then crawling all over us every time we sat on the patio.

I'll let them be when they pay their share of the mortgage. Cozzy livs.

I have ants in the garden at the moment but haven't a bloody clue where the nest is. They seem to be everywhere. People say watch where they walk to but the little fellas seem to have been out on the lash as they just meander all over the place. Any tips for finding it?

No tips unfortunately - mine was obvious so wasn't hard to find!

Couple of reasons why the grass may of die off. Like any chemical application can cause die off if applied in hot weather or in direct sunlight, even watering plants in these conditions will scorch plants. The other possibility if cut the lawn before application will cause die off. You should only apply fertiliser/chemicals at least three days after cutting lawn area.

unpleasant in July when the fellas get horny and start flying out the nest…

I love when this happens, me and the kids watch on with fascination as they emerge. I live right next to a river so we also get to see the fish arrive too and waiting patiently for the ants with dodgy flying skills land on the water and be guzzled.

Aerate the soil I’ve got half a dozen mini Everest's in the back lawn and have finally stopped the little b***ds getting in the house but no idea how to get them out of the ground without it looking like the surface of the moon.

Ant granule powder sprinkled around the nests and bait grasps. Needs to be the food poison not the white fine powder as that just kills ants it touches.
