Clearly Hermoso. They've been complaining about the actions of their FA for a long time. And honestly, that is not appropriate and should not have happened.

She said straight after that she didn't like it. Then the Spanish FA said that she'd defended him afterwards, but I've yet to see a quote of that. That seems to back up her claims that she was pressured to say that she was OK with it.

I'm surprised anyone out there has defended him really. If he'd kissed her on the cheek or even head, I could see a defense of it. Not something I'd do, but I'd get it. This, I don't.

I hope that FIFA or whoever has control over the global women's game have the balls to kick Spain out and strip them of the WC unless the Spanish FA change their stance.
 
They've (Rubiales and the rest of RFEF) completely lost the plot over this, they're clearly in the wrong and Rubiales is coming across as a massive narcissist willing to take them all down with him.

However a room full of men cheering on his insane speech yesterday while the women sat uncomfortably silent suggests that perhaps they deserve to go with him.

Even if she had said it was okay in the moment (and I believe her denial that she did not, but just to consider the alternative) , her boss putting her in that position is still clearly wrong.

What? So the women should be punished even further by losing their sporting achievement over off-the-field idiocy of the man running RFEF?

In theory, anyone who refuses a call up will be banned for 2 years by FIFA but they should clearly not be enforcing that.
 
For it to have been consensual, he must therefore have asked her whilst he was busy talking into her ear and kissing her cheek, whilst simultaneously pulling her into his body. It looked more like a hostage situation to me. The lass would have been full of emotion from victory, certainly not expecting a reaction like that from a perverted, crotch grabbing maniac. He was in a position of power, she is hardly going to slap his chops, knee him in the groin and shout “pervertido bastardo” at him. Because she didn’t react immediately he seems to claim it was consensual!

He wants sacking, the whole Spanish F.A. are corrupt (shock horror) if they are backing him. What a way to tarnish a World Cup win and throw the poor team who’d just won it, under a bus. It’s like a 1970’s Benny Hill programme, all it needed was him running off as soon as he did it, holding his crotch, while Hermoso & the entire squad begin chasing round the stadium after him. Utterly disgraceful, misogynistic, shameful episode.
 
I like that FIFA have banned him and the Spanish FA from contacting her or anyone close to her. That’s a good move.
