They’ve all been pretty ***** managers so far. Unlike our Michael.

But who’s the worst?
 
I think Rooney has gotten by on his period at Derby, where when you look at it, he had no real pressure on him.

He instilled a bit of fight, but a lot can be said for a siege mentality.

Lampard however has failed wherever he’s gone.
 
Gerrard stopped Celtic's dominance didnt he?

Lampard stopped Leeds reaching the playoff final and became the first manager to overturn a 1st leg loss

Rooney ... scratches head 🤔
 
All three have poor records but Lampard failed with a Chelsea squad that far exceeded anything the other two have got to work with.
 
Not sure why anyone voted Gerrard? I went Lampard because at least Rooney seemed to do a decent job with Derby (though I guess much of that may have been Liam Rosenior). Lampard's ineptitude with a billion pound* Chelsea squad was a cut above incompetent.

He'd probably argue, getting Derby to the play off final and Chelsea into the champions League places with a team of mostly kids after a transfer embargo were actually decent enough achievements. Definitely not "sweet Fa".
I 100% believe Carrick is a better manager than Lampard but up to this point Lampard has achieved more as a manager than him.

I thought Rooney did ok with Derby for 18months and almost pulled of impossible. Been rubbish since.

Was close for me between Lampard and Gerrard…

Gerrard did ok at Rangers , (know he won title and sounds daft but couldn’t maintain in poor league) but was poor at Villa, emery proved that in a few weeks. Now retired.

I thought Lampard did ok at chelsea first time around guided them to 4th. Under achieved at Derby, almost relegated Everton and only got those jobs through his uncle or Chelsea’s position at time.

Think 4th in prem is worth more than a title in a two horse race when from memory one horse was poor that year.

And because after some deliberation I surprised myself and decided I disliked Gerrard more than that smug Tw@t Lampard

Definitely agree - Lampard’s also fallen upwards into far easier jobs. He’s never proved he’s any good anywhere, and somehow had three Premier League jobs (if you count Chelsea x 2).

At least the other two actually took a challenging job and seem to take management a lot more seriously by working their way up (though Gerrard’s quit now, basically). And Rooney did a solid job at Derby, Gerrard a really solid job in Glasgow.

Lampard’s been a shambles everywhere he’s been.
