That's not as daft as it might sound. Did you notice the round marks on Hackney's back? That's the result of 'cupping therapy' - an ancient Chinese method for relieving pain. I know because I was asked if I wanted to try 'ventouses' on a visit to physio in France earlier this year. I had no idea what it was, but said yes because it was a female physio and thought it might involve massage. No massage, just a weird sensation that made me feel dizzy.

I think this would go some way to explaining the disappearances of some players and the strange injuries we’ve been getting.

Assuming the players are going on some sort of Indiana jones adventure trail to find exotic hidden treasures to boost the transfer pot.
