Right now, you'd go James Tavernier.

But that's purely because of one league title and one Scottish Cup in 9 seasons in a two team league.

But Marcus Tavernier is only 24, has already played more at a higher level, and likely has a higher ceiling.

Even when at Boro he was playing at a significantly higher level than James, who is nearly 32 and has definitely hit his peak.

2 bits of silverware in Scotland and a runners-up medal in Europe (plus 2 English promotions and a FL trophy as a loanee) are certainly dwarfing my own achievements in the game but I still reckon I’d rather be in Marcus’ shoes just now.

James is very good player at SPL level but lets be honest here, at premiership level he would be nowhere near, he can't defend and regardless of how good he is at shooting and dead balls
which he is he wouldn't survive at that level, he can get away with it in a 2 team league because the opposition just sit in a low block defending for 90 minutes

Go on about cups etc, yeh, but at that level?, lets be honest, Rangers will lose every single champions league group game, between the old firm in the last 15 years they have won 1 lousy group game between them

Marcus is the one at prem level on the most money playing at a much higher level

Just noticed James has played two games in the Premier league for Newcastle and had has played in the champions league. Add in a European final, winning a domestic league and Cup, I would say him, regardless of earnings.
