Which strikers do you think we will sign?

Ellis Simms, Everton CF age 21 who did well on loan at Blackpool and Hearts and is reportedly available for £500k, he is a big lad with skill, I would not be against him being one of the 5.
Yeah I googled Simms Middlesbrough . I think him and Simpson would be good investments fir the future rather than certs to start

IF we are going to spend , Joel Piroe would be top of my list.
His record is superb - 194 games - 85 goals- 26 assists in all,
Championship - 44 games - 21 goals - 6 assists .
A 1 in 2 striker . Is he CW type ? CW likes a striker who scores so he fits the bill and at age 22 can gain in value. Him left and Muniz right would be great IMO. Armstrong / Undav in behind . Piroe 21/6 and Undav 27 goals 13 assists are in form goalscorers - 48 goals 19 assists between them las season, so we could play those 2 from the off and bring Muniz and Armstrong on after 70 min, looks very good to me.
I think Piroe is the £20m striker that CW noted oin one interview a week or so ago.

I think it will most likely be Armstrong and Muniz as the 2 "main" strikers. But I would also love us to take a cheapish gamble on a younger lower division or younger foreign striker(abit like the Bola,Djiksteel,Browne and Jones type gambles) low risk but with potentially high reward I couldn't name one off the top of my head but I don't get paid to find these rough gems.

AFCB,Leicester ,Forest and Everton interested in Tav at £10m + edit ( Everton want Morgan Gibbs White and are offering £25m so they won’t want Tav as well I doubt )

I think that’ll be the biggest indication about who else comes in by who we manage to keep . Obviously we can’ choose to keep players but big money for the likes of tav might make us want to sell . Itl probably be short sited selling him right now , he’s a player we know we’d have to spend a few bob replacing him anyway and next season valuations will no doubt increase for the same level of player

I think we'll sign two completely unheard of players for undisclosed fees. "Pubba Zakpom" and "Huche Mikpeazu".

Both sporting afro hairstyles and bushy moustaches.

I remain confident that Gibson will invest.
Gyokeres is the best available to us and is realistic.
Riis and Joao are also buyable and very good.
EDIT Henry looks an exciting player but I know very little really about him.
Young Simpson from Ipswich would be a good flutter for the future.
The loans will take longer too as PL clubs decide who they make available.

If Soton don't pull their finger out and sign, then Armstrong will be going nowhere.
Gayle thankfully looks to have been stopped in its tracks.
Muniz on loan could be a real possibility.
I wonder if Keinan Davies will be made available again by Aston Villa. I thought he did very well at Forest.

Take a look at the full squad out in Portugal now. It is so thin it is incredible.
Roberts, Daniels
Dijksteel, McNair, Lenihan, Fry, Smith
Jones, Giles, Howson, Crooks, Tavernier, McGree, Boyd-Munce (barely first team squad)
Watmore, Coburn.
That is a 16 man squad exc Academy, but including a player we haven't signed yet (Smith) and one the manager wants out (Daniels)
10 more have left, are in the wilderness, or are long term injured (Lumley, Peltier, Bamba, Ameobi, Siliki, Sporar, Balogun, Connolly, Hall, Fisher)
Payero looks like going out, who knows with Bola?

Even if he retains Bola and signs Smith, then we require 7 players to form a 24 man squad, supplemented by Academy/U23.
I do think we will get them, eventually, but how Wilder knits them together will require incredible skill given the time he has.
We desperately need a first choice GK.
We need a first choice LCB. (Otherwise the round peg/round hole logic is holed). In any case 4 CB's for 3 positions is suicidal.
We need a very good DCM to challenge and cover Howson. (Nobody else can play that position. Please don't say McNair)
We need a very good Attacking midfielder. (We now look very thin here)
We need at least 3 high quality Strikers, (4 before we can even consider letting Josh out on loan)

The wage bill is low, there is very little amortisation to cover, our FFP position is strong and we will get £15m profit on Spence within the next year accounts and FFP.
The time is right to recruit quality to create a promotion winning squad.
I am absolutely confident that Gibson will grasp the nettle.
Agree with this 100% but I'm not sure its a "one window" project. I think we'll get 3-4 of those required in with the others to follow in Jan/next year.

It is absolutely criminal how we've let the squad get in such a threadbare state. If we had sufficient numbers we could at least look to improve the first 11 and hope/pray for lack of injuries/suspensions (we actually did very well on this front last season).

Nah , we’ve. Is got rid of high earners and can budget better especially after lack of income the last 2 years . Last years loans came with limited liability but will the potential income from since it will allow us to invest in younger players with potential and speculate on a striker that had more of a chance of hitting the net in this league . So I viewed the current “thread bare” squad as a positive rather than a negative and we have loads of time to improve that . We’ve already added decent width for the first time in years it seems
