Extraordinarily fortunate performance (again) from Newcastle. Played off the park for large parts of the game by a bottom half Championship side.

I guess eventually they will win something when they actually spend proper money but I can't imagine this side of lower league also rans will be bothering the engravers anytime soon.

I don't know about you but I enjoyed tonight's cup games. I saw 8 goals in the Luton game with Haaland bagging 5 of them. I then flicked over to catch the extra time of the Blackburn game and penalties.

Let's hope the Liverpool kids have drunk too much and struggle against Southampton tomorrow.
