Where was the outlet!!

Said at 70 mins it’s Hull City all over. If we are going to sit in you must have an outlet ball but we didn’t change anything. Gestede should have been off and anyone with any pace stuck up there. Lessons not learned

I was expecting us to bring the young lad O’Neill on for the last 10 mins to press and hurry there defence up and run the corners but it never happened.
 
As soon as Saville came on we dropped deeper, shouldve gone with another attacking player.... another **** up by our bench
 
Saville is as mobile as a brick

no pace
no threat
Very negative
Clumsy

we literally have no hope unless Woodgate goes and someone with half a fcuking clue takes over
 
Up until 65-70 mins in 2ns half thought it was exactly what we needed. Constant pressure, making them make mistakes, winning tackles, 2nd balls. Thought Howson was brilliant again ultimate pro but then we just sat back

I disagree, I think we'd already been dropping back for ages before he came on.
From the 70th minute onwards we were virtually pinned in our half, giving away set piece after set piece.
Saville came on in the 81st minute.

He made the substitutes too late, it's like he was saving them to try and waste time at the last minute.

We had a sticky 10 minutes before Saville came on but he was part of a more defensive set up to the end. The ease with which we gave corners away was worrying. Some balls seemed to be going out and we helped them on the way and Saville gave one away prior to the goal when a forceful clearance looked possible. Howson look the only defender intent on not giving away corners.
 
Agree but my point is there was no outlet to begin with. Throwing Saville on for wing just added to back to wall set up
 
I'd have brought Spence and O'Neill on around the 70 minute mark, to give us a proper outlet.

We're just so slow at getting forward.

We had a chance to counter late on but had nobody in the box.
