Where is Erimus74?

In end WG, I have voted at every local, EU and general election, but after 40 plus years I would say now is the hardest in my life.

Maybe I know too much now and it is better when you are young and more innocent.

Up to 2016 the percentage voting was dropping in the UK especially amongst working class groups.

Surely there are degrees of dissatisfaction though? You're absolutely right, people should vote. And while often we don't completely align with the policies of a single party, surely it's better to vote for the 'best fit' than not at all?

Fine in theory, but with the Overton window so narrow and skewed so far to the right I'm not sure it makes much sense in practice.

You see I'd disagree - now, IMHO, it's clearer than ever what will happen with another Tory government. The decision next time out will be the easiest I've ever made, because in my 45 years on this planet I have never known such industrial scale corruption, poverty or such a gulf between the haves and have nots.

I would say I am not happy to vote for any of the political parties in England at present. It is frustrating because I believe that ordinary people should vote and get strongly involved in how they are governed/misgoverned.
I don’t particularly align with any of them at the moment and I’m not a card carrying member of any political institution but I do know who I’d vote for without a shadow of a doubt. The country is absolutely depressed, socially and economically. I don’t know to what extent the damage can be undone in a parliamentary term but hopefully the people can be shown there’s at least a will for a better way than whatever **** sandwich they’re currently being served up.

As for the thread. I prefer that people vote and identify a reason for doing so but if you don’t see anyone to vote for then fair doos. Abstain in good conscience 👍
