Where is Adam Clayton?

Keyboard Worrier

Not in the Birmingham team, not on the bench and I can’t find him in their squad. Poor bloke, it’s never been the same for him since he left Boro.

Yikes. Doesn't look good for him. I wonder what those reasons were.

didn’t he pop up on the club’s (MFC) website recently and it was passed off as a glitch or some old archived content?

maybe he could have come in and covered after Morsy left?

Reading the brum fans above...

'legs gone'
'Karanka signed a mate'
'highest paid at the club'
'only good for collecting balls during the warm up'

Definitely not popular. Brum gave a guy a 3 year deal. I think most Boro fans would say 'his legs have gone' for the last 2 years with us.

I will remember him for his partnership with Grant. It was probably the best CM pairing in the champo.

I can understand how fans get annoyed when they can't shift deadwood. We've had so much over the past 5 years. Rudy springs to mind (turning down loan moves where he would play).

Having signed our fair share of long contract, low impact players, we should know that you should be frustrated by the people who offer the deal rather than the player who signs it.

If I were Clayton, I'd use the next two years as a great opportunity to get badges or some kind of media training if he wants to stay in football... while still picking up a handsome salary. Like some kind of Furlough Luxe Premium Plus.

Agree with this, can't blame AC for signing the contract he was offered, not sure why he didn't go out on loan though, albeit it doesnt reveal who the interested clubs were.

It's always a shame to see one great players come to the end of their careers like this, he was superb at his peak and one of the few players to do himself justice in the PL, albeit he had a very shaky start.
