Was it really all doom and gloom?
Was it really goodbye to FMTTM?

The Middlesbrough FC fanzine Fly Me To The Moon may have to fold at the end of the season due to a lack of sales. I interviewed editor, Rob Nichols, about the history and future of fmttm. Big thanks to Rob for his time and the fan's who gave their opinion.

This would be an awful shame if it happened.

is there an online version, for a fee of course? Digital media seems to have killed print copies axross the board these days.

Online versions are cheaper, but it's what you leaf through at half time. A device isn't the same.

I would miss it terribly. I love reading it - very much more considered content than we normally get.

Isnt this from 10 yeasrs ago?

Would be a real shame, but can't see how it can continue if it doesn't wash its own face financially. The simple fact is there can't be enough of us buying it.

I can now see this is from ten years ago. I imagine Julie to look a lot older than that now. The thing about there being an issue every match was a giveaway.

Not sure why this has been posted from over a decade. It doesn't take me that long to make a decision.
But thanks to continued support we keep on keeping on
Working on Issue 630 this morning.
Morning Rob.
It was "tongue in cheek" waiting to see how long before someone twigged it.
Thought a sence of humour was needed after reading depressing posts about Sunak, Braverman and why Nickleback are hated.

No offence taken. It was some light relief, especially as I was just told another of my jobs is under threat.
It never ceases to amaze me the number of quality writers/artists wanting to contribute to fmttm.
I was sent a new book last week to which I contributed, We Peaked at Paper - An Oral History of Fanzines.
I had no idea that the first fanzines were produced by sci fi fans about a century ago. Am proud to be amongst seminal fanzine editors and publications like Mark Perry and Sniffin Glue.
Some of my old new wave music fanzine friends Karren Ablaze and Rhodri Marsden are included.
I would recommend it.
