What would YOU do?

I'd honestly get Warnock back, and give him a twenty year contract.

And if he dies in service, let his next of kin take over.
I could do many things - some might work, some might not

However, I'd rather us be stabilising in the Northern Premier League Division One East than have that kn0b anywhere near my club again

Northern League instead of the Championship because you don’t like the guy who saved us from relegation and built a squad that finished 7th for buttons.

He had a near identical record to Karanka without the financial backing.

Fans screamed Warnock out and got what they wanted.

Normally I think of an ex player associated with the good times. Unfortunately, it's been that long, that those ex players are getting a bit old. Even Juninho is 50 soon, Rav is 54. Those "exciting" choices have probably passed.
No one stands out at the moment, though I certainly wouldn't have Karanka back with his one way of playing (and awful after match interviews).
George Boateng - Assistant Coach of the Ghana national team

Is 50-54 too old to be a manager??

I don't understand the attraction of former players to be the new manager. They are gone.

Find a candidate who has had some success by adapting the team shape and tactics to the available talent, and experience of working with a football director.

Experience of the club is not a prerequisite.

Hannes Wolf is known for his development of youngsters.

Wolf is not a typical modern coach implementing a particular style and staunchly sticking to it. Rather Wolf sets his team to be more fluid — pragmatic, even — and to be adaptable depending on the circumstances. Modern in his own way, Wolf is a coach that is capable of being reactive and adjusting his team in accordance to the situation and the opposition in question.

Maybe try Christian Horner, if you can succeed in one sport then maybe it can work in another too. Judging from this board I'm sure he would be a very popular appointment.

I'm sure you crazy fans could knock up a song to sing about Boro Spice on the terraces.

Christian Horner said,
I just f*cking love myself,
Oh words can't describe,
Having the FIA onside,
Having money's fine,
We overspend it all the time,
That's why we sing this song,
Whilst chugging Red Bull all night long.
