What should we do with the NHS?

That's part of the problem. It won't help much in the short term but in the long term serious investment is needed up front. Of course the Tories don't give a **** about the long term.

To the Tories being more efficient is about spending as little as possible. But serious investment would actually save money in the long term. There's loads of ways the NHS could be more efficient, but proper investment up front and a long term plan (incorporating everything: social care, public health etc) developed by experts, not politicians, is what's needed.
I agree but the planning needs to start straight away. Just pouring money in to the NHS today won't help because it's a leaky bucket.

I disagree. The leaky bucket analogy is what has been and is being pushed by the right leaning press and government.

I've worked on IT systems for NHS charging and it's pretty transparent from what I've seen.

The awarding of ridiculous contracts to Tory donors an their mates is where the actual 'leaks' occur.

Didn't Rishi Sunak write of £4Bn that needed auditing? Who did that benefit?

First thing I would do is put an end to scrounging b***ds who don't pay for prescriptions when they should, and then go from there.
