What now for Sol Bamba?

And Peltier. I guess they'll stay but Bamba, in particular, is a very much Warnock's guy. Wonder if he might be allowed to go to Barnsley or somewhere if Warnock were to take that job?

Weird.

Bamba has a contract until the end of this season as a player, so assume he will remain as that, unless we receive a suitable offer.

Bamba is also involved with coaching the U23‘s and U18‘s so he will continue with that as well.

Was one of the first things I thought of after hearing about Warnock.

I think Bamba is the ultimate professional and will stick at it until the end of the season and probably go somewhere else unless the next manager really gets along with him, and why wouldn’t they?

Although one of the main reasons he joined was to do some coaching, so if that is taken away from him by the next coaching setup, he might not be too happy.

I hope he sticks around. A positive influence around the club from a coaching perspective, and a really good centre half.

Bamba has been one of the best players this season, doubt he will go anywhere. Even once we have everyone fully fit he will still be a solid backup

Bamba is our best CB. Hopegully he's not going anywhere.

I bet he's raging though. It sounds like it was a shoddy sacking and done 'behind the scenes'
Warnock admitted on quest interview that he knew 3 weeks ago. He didn’t say that on bbc tees!
Warnock is obviously hurting a bit but he’s saying different things in different interviews. Sounds to me like Gibson started to share his thoughts with Warnock 3 weeks ago and was honest and upfront with him given the respect he has for him

Sounds like to me they agreed to give him enough games to get his record and if we carried on with the good results he would stay but if things turned again he would be gone.

I think it is just part and parcel of the game he'll be used to it. He's been through a lot himself the last couple of years, and didn't tear up his Cardiff contract or try to engineer a move when Warnock was sacked by them.

His family is still around Cardiff I believe? So it was always going to be pretty short term anyway as a one year deal.

We should have Fry back soon hopefully, along with Dijksteel and Bola.

We'll see who the new boss is and how we line up he may want to play a high line and press up quickly, which obviously Sol would struggle with pace wise. It isn't long till the transfer window either if the new guy wants to replace him.

Sol is the ultimate professional.❤️
His contribution for us in difficult times has been immense.👏
Hes 36 and his playing career at this level is near its end.
I`m sure whichever path he chooses, we wish him good health and success in whatever he does in the future.(y)(y)(y)(y)
Like everything in life - we have to move on.

I would love to see Sol build the next stage of his career with us. In the short term I think him and Fry could be the backbone of the best defence in the division (given a bit of time), alongside Dijksteel and Bola.

However, I have a sneaking suspicion that NW might end up back at Cardiff so who knows

Yes, he's contradicted himself hasn't he.

Overall his conduct has soured how I'll remember him to be honest.

He's been a very important player for us, a couple of MOTM games so far, great professional, hopefully he stays at the Boro

Sol Bamba lives in Yorkshire.

If Sol has designs on coaching and management then learning and networking off different people is the direction he needs to be going now not blind loyalty to someone at the end of his career.
