Sorry I meant Keith Mansfield. He wrote the theme to the Big Match
 
Ah the whistley tune... etched into the memory if you followed Boro back in the late 70's / early 80's.

As been mentioned, its not the Hustle or Shuffle.

There was a large thread on the old FMTTM forum about this about 10 years ago. Some of us did some digging through youtube for old 1970's car adverts but it was never found.

I have done a check through the old Renault ads on YouTube. No luck. Have also poured through the recorded works of Ronnie Hazlehurst and Mike Mansfield on Spotify no luck. I’ve even gone off on a tangent and gone through “Mike Mansfield radio” on Spotify. Some great 70s ditties but not our Ayresome Park going home tune.

Bernard is now the only hope otherwise it could be lost forever.

I watched 58 mins of the Renault 5 story on the Renault TV channel ( utube) although very interesting no clips of the UK TV promo from the 70s..... loads French ones
