Wolviston FC have some of the red seats in their covered stand plus a turnstile from Ayresome Park.Marske Utd took a load of the old wooden seats for the old main stand which has since been replaced with a newer one.
Honoured to be in your Ayresome Park scrap book - not sure if you will be surprised or not but I was actually the only buyer on that first day. I rushed to be first, by contacting in advance but had no competition in the end. I have been here ever since so it was definitely a very good decision. Love it here. And our very own Rob, taken from my AP scrapbook

Yes I know of him very well, his son was at my daughters weddingI heard the clock surround (don't think the clock was included) was moved upstairs at Ayresome Park because they didn't serve McEwans beer - and that it fell and was damaged. Not sure how true but the pub changed hands and some of the memorabilia followed on to the Vic in Hartlepool with Peter the landlord for a short time. I think a big Boro collector bought much of it. Erimus might have known him. But he passed away though. so am not sure where it all went. The original landlord from Ayresome Park now has Manjaros I believe so might know where it all went to.
Blf, that is class, love stories like that, cheersI took 2 plastic cups with me to the last match and filled them with soil and grass which I put into my lawn
When I moved I took the piece of lawn I had put it in with me to our new house. The Mrs thinks I'm mad and it cant be the same grass still growing. I'm no expert but I think it is or at least it's a bit of Ayresome DNA is still there.
Had a quick search but could not find them. Maybe put them in attic but my son is sure they were in his room. Could be behind a huge book/cd case. Further investigation needed.Wow, that would be great to see
I know where youre coming from with a major acheivement

I'm waiting for a sparky to come up with the "they're not bulbs, they're lamps" mantra.I attended the auction and bought a couple of signs - my memory is that Derby County bought the floodlights - but I think this means the bulbs - but if I recall correctly they were not collected. So, it could be the transaction was probably not completed.
Seats went off to various places, some ended up at Marske United.
One of the big problems was because there were so many items at the auction they auctioned the seats in whole rows. So, you had to buy 50 seats or something like that. In fact I think to speed things up they may have sold them in sections.
As it turned out workmen were on hand to cut things like fencing and seats for people but that wasn't clear at auction. A floodlight bulb is probably very expensive - but how on earth am I going to get it, was the kind of thing you asked yourself in the auction room. But yes I seem to remember the floodlights had already been reserved for Derby. Although something in the back of my mind makes me think Biggleswade might have also bought floodlights or seats. I might be wrong. It is a long time ago.
My bidding was basically waiting for the owner of a pub in town not to put his hand up. He had brewery backing and how could you compete for anything, Peter Stokes bought loads of lots for the Ayresome Park pub including McEwans 80 bob. Everyone thought Boro might keep that. But no.
Someone from Orange County Texas took the Orange Tickets Transfer sign - something like that. It was where you had to show an orange ticket in the North Stand.
