The vaccine might've been approved but to produce the amount needed for a roll-out will take 6-12 months. The British gov is spending 90mil on producing vaccine which still might fail just to try and get ahead if it does pass testing.

I think we are paying in advance to produce it, so that as soon as it's given the all clear we have a load of doses available - taking a risk sure, but better to be prepared and waste a bit of money than be caught on the backfoot having put all our eggs in one basket (as usual). One weeks worth of saved EU payments should cover it nicely

It’s blatantly the Oxford vaccine that’s been hacked or stolen, it even has the same side effects. What’s the bet that Russia hasn’t already tested it on prisoners and patriotic comrades?

Billions thrown at a vaccine not to mention the greatest unemployment, recession and (probable) tax rises in history for a disease that’s killed less than 20000 people outside of care homes in 8 months. Meanwhile cancer still kills 450 people in the U.K. every single day. Should of been locked down the care homes and shield the vulnerable early and let the rest of us get on with life.
