What exactly is a 'Wilder type player'?

This seems to come up in every thread about possible transfer targets. Is it different attributes for different positions, or is there a generic Wilder type?

One that fits his formation and has the right personal attributes (attitutde and work ethic). E.g as a Centre Back, they are the traditional CB where Fry plays or they are RB/CB like Dijksteel on the right that is comfortable at either end of the pitch. McNair doesn't really fit Wilder's system (on the left anyway). Uche is a striker but a Wilder striker has to be able to press so Uche isn't a Wilder player.

You'd never get a lazy/luxury player in Wilder's team. They have to put the team first.

Round pegs in round holes.

So think, buying Jordan Rhodes who has played up top in a two his whole career then sticking him up top on his own and expecting him to continue scoring at the same rate - The opposite of that.

Wilder type - less domesticated than a normal player. Less likely to be house trained, enjoys being outdoors, doesn't like doing house work.

Players that are too good not to be playing for their clubs and sometimes players that are too good for the league they are playing in.

I guess Dwight Gayle falls in the first category and Scott Twine falls in the second.

Very similar targets to Boro with Sheffield, there’s some crossover there, I bet we missed out on a few players to Wilder

Players who give 100% in every aspect of the game, eg......

Bola didn't, when he pulled out of that tackle v Cardiff, when Wilder went apesh!t with him on touchline

Stocky, tries hard, like pally fanny?
He gives players their chance Jack Rodwell, Ravel Morrison, Ched Evans, Aaron Connolly.. it that sort of mentality that will make players run through walls for you. Cast offs, rejects.. exceptional talent can be found on the scrap heap. It’s cheaper to pick them up have a look see what makes them tick.. rather than looking for the showroom stallion who might not have had his breakdown yet.

Chris Wilder is the sort of guy I can imagine buying a Cat C Mercedes.. strong reliable, perfect before it got bashed.. better to see the badges and get them fixed rather than find out your pristine Ferrari is a cut and shut or acre-badged Nissan.

Five prem loans would be nice
A few from newly promoted teams
A few solid free agents from the championship
A few outstanding youngsters from league one
Then we should be almost there..
