It seems Cleverly did a very good job in the Foreign Office, although he was following on from Liz Truss, Dominic Raaaaab and Boris Johnson, probably the three worst ever, so almost anyone would be an improvement.

It does make you wonder if at least some of these ministers are actually nowhere near the partisan stupid incompetent knob heads they appear.

Warsi was often infuriating when she was in government, avoiding the question, parrotting government lines and engaging in whataboutery. Yet now she appears normal, decent, thoughtful and courageous.

I always felt she came across as a "good" tory. There were not very many of them in the past. Virtually none now. As you say.
