The goal is to set the precedent of removal of human rights. If that succeeds then they will do the same to attack trade unions, lawyers, teachers, benefit claimants and anyone else they see as enemies of the people.

The thing with the whole scheme is I just don't get it.
It is obviously not a deterrent to people crossing The Channel, they have already left their own country and a small proportion try to get here.
The numbers Rwanda can cope with are really small comparatively.
We are going to spend more money on shipping a few hundred people than looking after those that remain here.
It is unlikely to be successful as even with the new law change there will be legal challenges to individual cases.
I don't see how it's good politics as a lot of people oppose it and those who support it, don't see it as being strong enough and will be upset when it fails to do what they want.
