What Boro mug do you use?

I see this is a view shared by others on this thread. But my superstition is the opposite - I ALWAYS use my Boro mug on matchdays. This absolutely has to happen. Even if it means I'm hurriedly boiling the kettle at 2.55 because I forgot until the last possible moment.

So one of us is clearly doing something wrong. I wonder if it's me or you lot.
Can't be me - I use mine every day. Can't start the day without coffee.

Haha, just got this image of you turning up at the ground clutching your cup of tea!

Well, of course I was referring to more recent times - now that I only have to travel as far as my living room to watch the match. Which suits me fine, as I live about 300 miles away from the Riverside and sadly haven't made it to a home game since 2015. I had a trip planned for April 2020 and was very excited to finally get back to the stadium, and then... well, you know what happened.

If I have my morning coffee/tea in that mug on a matchday, the superstitious side of me is sorted for the day. But sometimes I'll have a second drink out of the same mug before kick-off, and then I wonder if I've cancelled out the first one. So then I have to have a third drink to reinstate the good luck. Weirdly, this foolproof system doesn't seem to be working at the moment.

😂 But now we know that we also have to take into account the counter-superstitions, one mug working against another as it were. How many games have been called off because we all got it wrong and made any result impossible?

Whatever it takes to beat Derby on Saturday, I'll do it. Even if it means burying the mug in a ritual under a full moon.

Work mug, currently got tomato soup in it. Goodness knows what they think over here, although the boss is a Liverpool fan (he does come from Oldham, so I'll let him off with that one)
