What are you going to do while in lockdown?

Got a home recording studio and Garageband app that I'm still all over the place with, along with a load of material to preserve now that I'm well into my dotage in tragic, would-be-pop-star terms. Enough to keep me occupied for another year or so. I've a feeling though that the computer, along with the bloody app, will be going through a window long before then.

I’m off to Snainton tomorrow morning to buy a load of wood. I will then go in the shed on my wood lathe and get creative. No doubt I will end up covered in man glitter.

Would recommend you bin garage band and get a decent DAW if you're going to dedicate some time to it. People seem to think Pro Tools is a must but to be honest, ive been using Ableton for the last 6 years and i prefer it. Comes with decent stock VST's aswel (if you're only starting out)

I went spent today’s beer money on wood and will be producing some nice pieces starting tomorrow.

We came back from Snainton via Scarborough to get fish & chip but couldn’t get parked near the front. Plenty of people about. Drove along the front between the two bays and plenty of parking there. Couldn’t be bothered with the walk back so carried on to Saltburn. Same again here, the place was chocker.

Judging by the absence of meat on the shelves of Portrack ASDA this afternoon I think a few might be planning barbecues or an intensive program of hardening of the arteries.
Irony is alive and well in there though as I heard a woman with a trolley full of food pose the question "Is there a war on?"
B & Q was busy with couples, quite a few of the men looked less than happy that they'd lost any excuses to not do those jobs they'd been putting off ;)
I was buying some timber for the motorhome renovation I have that is ongoing. If I get it finished in time I'll be renting it out as a self-isolation facility or as a retreat.
