What are we all reading right now?

The Hearts Invisible Furies by John Boyne. Just finished it and found it to be one of the best books I’ve ever read. Gut wrenchingly sad in parts and achingly funny in others. He’s the guy who wrote Boy in The Striped Pyjamas. Highly recommend.

Just started The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel. Just a bit of a random choice from Amazon's Sci-Fi lists. Not sure yet.

Just finished Adrian Tchaikovsky's "Shards of Earth" (on a bit of a Sci-Fi dive) which was excellent, second part of the duology "Eyes of the Void" is out in paperback in October so will have a dibble at that.
I enjoyed The Glass Hotel and am a big fan of Emily St. John Mande, but wouldn t call it sci fi. Station Eleven, another one of her books is a very good dystopia.

Reading Sovereign by CJ Samson.
3rd book in the Shadlake series.
The wife bought me all 7 a few years ago, She’d bought me the 7th first then realised there was 6 previous books so ended up costing her (me) a packet.
Just reading 1 a year so as not to get bored

Chaos: by Tom O’NeilI

On some anniversary of the Manson murders. A jobbing journalist was asked to knock out a few thousand word article for a magazine. Never delivered it
20 years of research later, He ended up with a book.
Lots of suspicious coincidences.

Just put down Lifes a Gamble by Pauline Murray ... great insite into the early days of punk and been in a band from the froxen North ... been a durham lad a lot of her early life i can picture

Still on the grim stuff😉

Impossible: “The Case Against Lee Harvey Oswald”. Volume one. (2 more to follow)

The Deceiver by Frederick Forsyth. I'm going to try to get a couple of Tom Sharpe books to read again on holiday. I'll probably end up annoying everybody round the pool as I titter away.
