What are the most beautiful parts of Scotland? Best for seeing wildlife (eagles) etc?

Oddly I just had this running on my telly as a sort of alternative to looking at my dining room wall whilst I'm "at work"
The Hebrides are stunning.
The beaches are unbelievable. We had a hot summers day on a beach on the west side of Mull. We were the only people on the beach. Water was crystal clear, sand as white as I've ever seen. Genuinely felt like you could have been in Thailand or the Caribbean.

We drove into Tobermory that evening to get some dinner and it ***ed it down.... quickly remembered we were still in Scotland.

If you have the time, Mull is good, Iona is better. I would also recommend glen nevis for a stop by, very impressive standing at the foot of nevis and looking up.

Kyle - amazing place. Especially if you travel by train from Inverness.
If you get some clear weather, from Oban to Mull and the Islands is a great place for wildlife.

We're off to Arran this summer for the first time. Any advice from the board? Mrs GOG is a magnet for midges and reacts badly.
Keep her next to you and you will be ok and shouldn't get bitten. ;)

There's an Avon product that is good for keeping Midgies away but I cannot remember its name.

Edit: I am sure it is the cooling aftersun spray that contains Alo Vera.

There is also a Avon citronella skin so soft spray that contains mosquito repellant.

I think there's an eagle sanctuary on Mull, so that's a good bet. You can see eagles in almost any place north of the Central Belt, but the north west is where most people go.

There's a lot of wild life places in the north east, from Aberdeen right up to and beyond the Dornoch Firth. Deer, birds, even Scottish wild cats are all there. It doesn't rain as much on the east side, so fewer midges. You can go to see dolphins in the Cromarty Firth, good boat tours there.

Avon Skin So Soft - as mentioned is the go to antidote for midges.

Arran is much overlooked but gorgeous. In Lochranza there are a herd of completely tame local deer who just live there and lounge around in the open. But the whole place is lovely. Skye is also stunning, if a little full in Summer. Have seen loads of deer there and also sea eagles and otters.

But anywhere over the highlands and west there's so much beauty. We go every year and will be up there next month too.

Lots of special places in N/W Scotland - Mull is a decent spot - useful for birds and whales etc it has beaches, cliffs, some trees, a small town with a distillery, next to Iona and Staffa both well worth a trip.

You used to be able to book a day trip from Oban to Mull by large Ferry then bus to other side of Mull, then speed baot to Staffa then back to Mull and little ferry to Iona. Then back again same route to Oban - Probably the greatest day trip in the UK.
