Westgarth reunion - Friday 5th Sept 2025, 7pm at Teesside University SU

Middlesbrough Gigs are hosting a special Westgarth SC reunion event on Friday 5th September 2025 (7pm Doors).
There were so many great nights at the Westgarth and the recent (WH Lung) show at the Uni gave us a timely reminder of how things were not too long ago. Great times.
Well, as promised, there's a special Westgarth reunion show coming and it'll be an opportunity to catch up with pals and see some fantastic acts at the same time.
First act announced tomorrow.

Great news. Been waiting for the acts to be announced for this as I am planning to take my son on holiday in September for his 40th. Hanging fire with the bookings until the artists are announced.

Oh although they sound really good I was expecting bands who had played The Westgarth. Bad assumption by me.

With the Middlesbrough Gigs shows we'd committed to 3 specific venues in the TS1 area, namely: Uni; Town Hall Crypt & Courtroom; Etch. We were lucky to secure some funding to help cover some of the production and hire costs, but without this the shows would be unsustainable, so I don't see us looking at any new venues/spaces in the next year or so. Its just so difficult to make the shows work these days, I'm afraid.

Defo seems like tough times at the moment. Venues closing left right and centre. Easy to forget the THREE or FOUR other venues you have on the go in Boro!
