Were the Norwich fans giving our players loads of grief?

I found it strange myself. Not a fan of players celebrating in front of opposition fans if I'm honest, I absolutely hated it when their players did the same thing when they score in the play-off final, although I think it's different if an ex-player returns to their former club and receives abuse.

If their fans were being abusive then I can understand it but it's Norwich, they're not exactly known for being the most animated supporters, and Crooks hadn't been on the pitch long before he scored, so I'd be surprised if he'd received abuse.
Wonder if they were getting a bit of stick before the game maybe from that little section where McGree, Giles and Hackney seemed to shush. Definetly was some feeling there

McGree giving them a big shush, Akpom doing his little dance in front of them, Crooks knee sliding in front of them then Giles and Hackney shushing them.

Had they riled our lads up or something?
Mind McGree did the same v Sunderland when he scored & celebrated in front of their fans,

I remember gentler times, when Sporar started celebrating in front of the Forest fans at the City Ground, realised his mistake and apologised.

Yeah possibly, although Akpom went straight to celebrate in front of their fans behind the goal.

As I said, I just found it odd but I suppose no harm done in the end.

Any proof that they were shouting abuse?
come on, have you ever been to a single professional match where the home crowd haven't shouted abuse at an opposition player? I don't think I have. It's part of the game, the players are human, with emotions. We always have people complaining that VAR is sucking life out of the game, and refs booking players for taking their shirt off is ruining the sport, let the players celebrate, as long as they don't show violence or vulgarity then so be it

It was mentioned on the Boro Breakdown podcast this week. It seems they've been doing it for the last couple of away games.

There is a very distinct difference between the abuse akpom received on twitter which is horrific and rightly called out as such, and the norwich fans, or any fans for that matter, calling opposition players $hite and giving them stick. In the latter the players giving some stick back is fine.

I'd have zero problem with a Teemu Pukki giving us the "sushh" if the roles were reversed.

I agree, it's all part of the pantomime and I don't mind it when players do it to us. You have to be pretty sensitive to be bothered by it.

There was a moment on the left wing towards the end when some of their fans gave Hoppe some stick, and he returned the favour. Made me chuckle
