We're not rid of him yet.

The Bozo blames 'the herd' - Latin vulgus profanus - for his removal rather than his own transgressions and lies. Good riddance when he finally goes, of course.

BUT he's still there as 'interim' surrounded by a team even weaker than their predecessors. As Starmer, finally making a good joke said, the charge of the lightweight brigade into positions vacated by most of the talent in government. For now, we're in more trouble, not less. God help us.

I hope Starmer gets a vote of no confidence in the house now and they unceremoniously throw the lying useless sack of shi t out on his neck
He's said they would call a vote of no confidence. If won that would mean a general election. Does Labour want that now?

No point calling one because in effect it would be a vote of no confidence in the government and the Tories will just rally round.

who has any confidence in the government? problem is if PM doesn't call one you need 2/3 of MPs to vote for a GE and Tories wouldn't vote for one in self preservation mode they're in

The Tories would just elect someone else quickly, even as an interim, and they'd command a majority. No need for a GE unless they can't agree on one.

His speech was aimed squarely at "his voters" hence why he has laid the blame at the door of everyone else.
He's still of the belief that he can carry the Tory vote on his own and Cummings is right, he needs removing now as the longer he stays as PM, the more he'll believe his own hype.

Yep. Remember he does or says what is needed for the day, hour and minute. If he can stay for a couple of months he will have totally 'forgotten' that he has resigned and will start making up reasons for why he should stay.

Oh look, the haunted pencil has called it a presidential mandate and is dangling the threat of a Labour GE win as the stick.

To be fair I wouldn’t be using Cummings as a barometer of truth and integrity on anything.

He caused this whole mess and now seems happy to sit on the sidelines as though he’s a neutral observers.

Erm no Dom

Reminds me of the period between Trump losing the election and the moment he officially left the White House, he could cause havoc and chaos in this ‘interim’ period, could he not?
