Well that was an improvement

Big improvement but still not quite there.

Howson in for Barlaser and VDB in for McNair definitely improved us.

Both the new lads had good debuts.

We are conceding too many soft goals. As we did last season. I can't quite put my finger on why but we just don't seem to deal with balls into the box particularly well.

We could have had 4 or 5 today. Their keeper made some decent saves and we missed the target with a few other chances. Rogers gets in some great positions but just lacking that final finish.

It was a huge improvement on the last 2 games but we need to start getting some results.

The worrying thing is, I think their fans will also think they could have had 4 or 5.
And we are talking about Huddersfield.

Big improvement but still not even near good enough to be where we want to be.
Liked the look of both Latte Lath and Engel.
Fry is becoming a bit of a worry for me. Not sure he’s comfortable, quick enough or good enough on the ball to play the way we want to, in terms of distribution.
Silvera lively and fantastic stamina, but is very raw and sometimes tries to do too much himself. Still adjusting to a much higher standard of football though, so jury out but hopeful he’ll be an asset.
I‘m a bit worried about the McGree situation, and I refuse to believe we’ll go through the season with Crooks as back up no.9 / no.10.
Work in progress, definitely more signings to come in, but the two new boys starting today definitely improved us, as did the return of Howson. BUT it was only Huddersfield.
