Well done max - f1 world champion

Yes because those following Mercedes aren’t glory hunters then how many title is is in the hybrid era 8 wins from 9 years but yes max fans are the glory hunters.
It's more Lewis tbf.

What are you going to do when he leaves the sport? Its going to be so boring for you not being able to create bizarre conspiracy theories.

Maybe you'll get some common sense though. It would be nice to have a sane conversation with you about the sport.

I could have been a racing driver. I went to the new karting place round here recently.

I went down there the first day it opened right, and I did a couple of laps, I pulled over, the bloke that runs the thing comes over and said - Oi no professionals. I took my helmet off, I said I'm not a professional. He said - you're not a profesional? I said - No, he said - well you should be, if I was you I'd take up Formula One, and if you drive like that you'd probably be the best in the country! I said - I'm not interested I'm making **** loads out of computers.
There's a school of thought that your post is funny, topical, interesting.

Truth is it's not. Shame.

No one from Mercedes turned up for the FIA event tonight, and they still havent spoken a word to the media. Get the impression this isnt over. Wonder if an appeal will go in just as their big event is due to start tomorrow

Looking at social media this morning, looks like Merc will be dropping the appeal.

Nice of the FIA to release a gaslighting statement saying it was the fans and media "misunderstanding" That's made me very angry. So we are "misunderstanding" A rule that is written in plain writing in the rule book. We are misunderstanding that rule, even though Masi himself clarified what that rule meant and what he could change last year.

The kicker could be Lewis retires in a year or two and Max joins Mercedes and goes on to a period of dominance the likes of which we've never seen.

I'm sure Zorro will be posting dozens of threads a week about it, like he did for Schumacher and Vettel.................................................

Oh.

Yes, the FIA will be investigating why everyone "misunderstood" Masi ripping up the rule book and changing his mind 3 times in 4 minutes.

It's is obviously everyone else's fault.

Yeah, I feel bad now.

I shall apologise to the FIA. Luckily they won't have the problems I have caused next year. I have cancelled my F1 TV subscription and my plans to spend money at their events in Silverstone and Singapore. I'm sure they'll be happy at that.

Officially withdrawn, probably best for the sport but really feel it was the wrong decision to withdraw
It really was the wrong decision.

Looks like the sport is going down the "Sports entertainment" route to keep the drive to survive crowd happy. Let's see how that works as they chase away true race fans to do it.

Yeah as much as we don’t want to see it decided in the courts it couldn’t really be more blatant. Wonder if they have agreed to something to stop them progressing it

Can understand why Mercedes have withdrawn. But I would've loved to have seen them drag FIA and Masi through the dirt in the courts - even if Mercedes lost, it still would've made FIA & Masi look bad.

They have tainted the sport and F1 in the eyes of many is nothing but a farcical sport.

They should be accountable for their actions and take responsibility.

No doubt FIA will go into hiding over the whole matter and hope time is a healer.

Something must have been agreed behind the scenes, plus Hamilton probably had a big say in not wanting this to be dragged through the courts.

But the FIA effectively blaming fans and media for their own mistakes is a sign nothing will really change.

F1 has gone down the entertainment at all costs route. I won't be watching.
