Wednesdays permutations

Just get a pointđź‘Ť

All we have needed is a point from Cardiff or on Wednesday. If we don't get a point from those two games then we hardly deserve anything.

I expect Leeds to beat Charlton. I'm not as confident about Luton or brum not winning as playing 'on the beach' teams.
 
Unless Luton, Charlton AND Birmingham all win our result doesn't matter. If by some fluke they all do end up winning we need at least a point. I'd be massively surprised if we need to worry about goal difference with Birmingham

That's not quite right, Birmingham would only need a draw to go above us if we get beat

Yes but if Luton and Charlton have lost it makes no difference. We'd still be out the bottom 3.

Edit: even if Luton and Charlton draw we'd still be outside the bottom three

Further edit: I see what you mean. I should have said 'unless Luton and Charlton both win and Birmingham don't lose, our result doesn't matter'.

To end up in the bottom 3 we would need the following to happen:

Birmingham avoid defeat
Luton to beat Blackburn Rovers
Charlton to beat Leeds
Sheff Wed to beat us

As well as the Wigan 12 points deduction not to happen.....

I know that. But you said unless Charlton, Luton, and Birminghma all win our result doesn';t matter. But it would be Luton win, Charlton win and Birmingham draw would make our result matter.

Yes, I read it again and edited it. Although a Birmingham draw put's them level on points but below us on GD. It would be a bad day at the office for us (massive understatement) if a draw for Birmingham drops us below them in the table! So realistically they would still need to win to go above us.

Ignore that, I've just checked the table and yes a draw would do them as we are on the same points

The Wigan result is irrelevant to us.
 
Looking forward to the game as I see us as virtually safe. Not concerned at all, can see Leeds destroying Charlton.

Forget any team below us, we are going to win on Wednesday.... We are away from home.
Wigan Sheff Wed and Derby are going to get points deduction.

I personally can't see Blackburn being on the beach. Not with Mogga in charge, not to mention Downing, Danny Graham and Harry Chapman all there.
