We look utterly bone hard !

True... We don't concede any chances. To think last season we had crosses flying in from all angles under woody.

We are now a 'proper' Warnock side. We are probably missing a target man. We are very similar to his Cardiff side grinding out 1-0s.

The team spirit seems superb. They are definitely all playing for him and each other๐Ÿ‘

Difficult watch, but they sat deep and there was only going to be one winner. Professional performance. Fancy us for the play offs!

I don't know if Warnock actually instigated this but if he did then brilliant. Why wouldn't you want to run through brick walls for a man like this (y)

Itโ€™s quite extraordinary how disciplined weโ€™ve become under his short stewardship
Surely shows Gibson what appointing a proper manager brings you
What mystifys me he's been knocking on Gibbos door to manage us for a long time & at the 11th hour Gibbo finally decided to hire him, better late than never though

"Virgil" has become a different player under NW
He was a very good player and Charltonโ€™s player of the season in their promotion year and was dismayed to see him in and out of the side last season and getting slated by a few. It took a proper manager to bring him back to the fore and certainly a key player in our defence now.

Haha, why is absolutely everyone wearing them though?? Is this some sort of sports science marginal gain thing?

Sort of.

It's a rule in most clubs that you don't walk around in bare feet, whether it be the risk of standing on something sharp, slipping on something or picking up a fungal infection and so most players stick a pair of sliders on when they're walking around the club.

Yes particularly on a wet floor soaked by shower water and sweat. I wear them around the pool. A proper fashion statement. Not.

Finally a team that look to win for the full duration of the match.

Probably would have been mugged and lost 1-0 last season.

Very positive indeed, bordering on excitement
