WE LICK OUR WOUNDS, WE GO AGAIN

Disappointing result as it was, it doesn't really change our approach to the remaining games, play to win..

Can't see us getting 2nd now, Sheff Utd would have to implode big time, of epic style & melt down.. not going to happen..

Think we'll have more rotation & competition in the squad now, playoffs pending..

We need to learn to toughen up a bit when defending.

I thought Smith was fouled for their third goal, but he was also bullied.

Their fourth was a bit of a fluke and I thought Steffan could have done a bit better for International keeper.

Nice shots for their first 2 which they may never repeat in the rest of the season, but we should have cut their shots out, especially for the first goal. You feel mean teams Millwall and Luton would have given them less chance to shot.

There is nothing that can't be remedied.

Despite losing by 2 goals we still had 19 goal attempts to their 12.

What do we do? As Sir Lennie would say, we lick our wounds and we look to put it right next time out. We go again. We were always going to lose at Huddersfield. Come on. Warnock FFS.

We lick our wounds. We beat Burnley. It’s far from over. We are having a fantastic season. UTFB.
Agree absolutely.
Gather up our kit.
Regroup.
Reorg and clear our heads.
Focus on the task in hand and work our balls off to try and ensure it doesnt happen again in the next seven games.(y)

Dunno how anyone can say we didn’t play well first half, we were totally in control. I throughly expected us to another goal or two in the second half and win. I was hopeful the Blades would lose but they managed to get it done.

One thing I will say that struck me a little was the lack of celebration from Forss, seemed a bit cavalier. I know people scrutinise and overthink things after performances like this but it did strike me as odd, considering at that point it put us one point behind 2nd.

Very disappointing.

Obviously come a long way under Carrick and been on an amazing run, but that’s no reason to pat ourselves on the back and get complacent. The home straight is where top top sides crank it up.

Teams with automatic promotion credentials don’t turn in performances like that in the second half.

Of course the only thing to do is dust ourselves off and move on to Burnley but I feel that’s our chances of 2nd up in smoke, which is a shame after getting close.
It’s the ‘how’ we got beat yesterday, not that we lost. It was a dangerous fixture but intelligent boro fans notice a worrying defeat vs an honest defeat against a team who are talented and well organised

I've actually rethought things as I'd said before yesterday that 86 points would do it (as in did some actual calculations) so my saying we needed to Win 6 draw 1 lose 1 or better prior to Hudds is still on.

So there you go lads, you've got the loss out of your system now so should feel better, Fry starts EVERY SINGLE GAME please Mr Carrick, you're allowed to draw once, but other than that 6 wins and Boom! Starting with Burnley.

Boro are GOOD at bouncing back, no? Proven a few times this season now. Well that was a Big flat on face moment at the John Smiths, so a Big bounceback to suit ta boys.
6 wins, no losses kind of bounceback.👍

No more Warnock in our way, not much in the way of the sides who can defeat you, ie big cloggers with no ability. We face sides who can play football, which makes it easier for you to take them all to the cleaners.😍
