WE LICK OUR WOUNDS, WE GO AGAIN

If we were gonna finish top two we’d have won today.

I feel we’ll get roughhoused in the playoffs, unless we learn from that.

If he breaks that Wembley voodoo then he’s a hero. I’ve never enjoyed supporting boro as much since I left the uk. Since I was a bairn really.

Admire your calmness, Viv. I’m spitting feathers!

I only followed the scores and stats so not really sure what happened but I imagine as soon as their first went in we just lost our grip. It’s the sort of thing I think will be ironed out in time. I’m certain this team is overachieving TBH; we’re a playoff team. I’m loving it, this looking up the table instead of down.

We know football. Of course, if anyone was ever going to pump the Boro, it was going to be a Warnock team. It was nailed on. It’s what he does.

We’re still in a fantastic place and position. We’d have had your arm off for this in October.

All I can say is that I’m glad for you that you didn’t watch it. You’re a measured man but McNair was doing his best Sean St Ledger impression. You only missed a potential aneurysm 👍

Onwards.

Think back to the days of Scott McDonald’s first touch, of Rhys’ pelvis, of Willo Flood’s drawstring shorts.

We can put with Paddy’s weaknesses for the time being!

Today can always happen with the way we play, we’ve shown that we respond well to defeat under Carrick so hopefully we put on a good display against Burnley.

It was frustrating but I’m certainly not going to be fuming about it after how far we’ve come under Carrick.

As you say, we go again. Let’s get ourselves into form for the playoffs.

It was a bad day at the office for the whole team, especially second half, and not a day for singling out individual players. The strength and character of the team will be if they put this performance in the past, learn from the mistakes and put in another great performance, that we've been used to, since the tough B&HA cup game. We've been treated to some excellent stuff of late, three, four and five goal thrillers and coming from behind in some, so let us view this Huddersfield game in respect of that.

Yeah we’re an open side. I like this. We go out and try to win, occasionally we get beat. But we’ll have a bloody good time seeing where we end up. I love that we’re an attacking team doing our stuff.

We lost a game of football.
We were cruising and should have put the game to bed before we had a mad 20 minutes and completely threw it away.
Cruised through the first half in total control against a team who parked the bus, then we got cocky, complacent and sloppy in mf and at the back for 20 minutes, and we threw away what was shaping up to be a good win.
All the guff about us being woeful throughout etc. Nah, we were decent first half but blew it. That’s football.

But we’ve been absolutely fantastic for months now and dropping the odd ******* is par for the course in football so ho hum. No sleep lost.

Just effing annoying it was to Warnock. No doubts the fanboys on here will look forward to him telling the world how he single handedly masterminded a great comeback. At least they’ll be happy tonight 😉

Warnock will be absolutely f*cking loving it : )

There’s a reason everyone hates him. And it’s because of this sort of thing. We were never, ever going to win at Huddersfield today. But we will beat Burnley.

Yeah, it happens. one goal can change a game and to get it straight from kick off obviously game the home team a lift. I was watching on a stream and when the second went in I went off to walk the dog - I had a bad feeling.
We are brittle - I said it recently on a thread on here - but we've also proven that we're as good as pretty much anyone in this league bar Burnley and as long as we go toe-to-toe against them and whatever the result don't suddenly really start to splutter, I reckon we will be in the play-offs and we will be favourites. From there anything can happen

Very disappointing.

Obviously come a long way under Carrick and been on an amazing run, but that’s no reason to pat ourselves on the back and get complacent. The home straight is where top top sides crank it up.

Teams with automatic promotion credentials don’t turn in performances like that in the second half.

Of course the only thing to do is dust ourselves off and move on to Burnley but I feel that’s our chances of 2nd up in smoke, which is a shame after getting close.
