Goebells worked on that principle I believe and unfortunately this government has a touch of the Nazis about it.The truth is that they have cottoned on to the fact that if you say something often enough and long enough it will stick in the heads of some people. Eventually, some people will start to see elements of these comments ringing true, and once that happens, they start to believe it maybe was true as their personal biases are touched. This applies to everyone at some point in their lives in all areas and you don’t necessarily realise it as it happens.
Just look at some of the replies you’ll see on this and similar threads and there’s your answer! How they can get away with saying the exact opposite of the truth is beyond me.
Its one saving grace is Johnson's laziness. An effective fascist leader must at least be up for a bit of graft. Now, when he goes and Patel takes over...? She could really do some damage.Goebells worked on that principle I believe and unfortunately this government has a touch of the Nazis about it.

I work with people who in their occupation have to assess evidence and statistics, and they're good at it. Yet when it comes to covid they believe "Boris" is doing a good job. It makes no sense whatsoever. Their Tory loyalty obviously overpowers their usual reasoning.Yep, there are people I work with, nice, decent people, who are still defending the government handling of this. Of course, they’ve no idea who is who in the cabinet but think ‘Boris’ would be a laugh down the pub, and blame the public for how this has all played out.
Decent, nice people can also be thick as mince. It’s frustrating as hell.
