We don't always play that bad!

Last night was an off night in terms of performance but we somehow got the three points, deserved or not that is what will remain on the record books. We recently played exceptionally well against Watford and somehow came away from the game with nothing. That is football.

You should have been out of sight by half time but having not converted the many chances the window remained opened for us at 1-0 to snatch a point or more.

Classic away performance. Soak up the pressure, stay in the game, take your chances when they come.
I could only watch the second half, thought you looked pretty good. Your centre backs were good.

Absolutely not a classic away performance. That would indicate a deliberate approach to stay compact, reduce chances and score on the counter. Hull were second best all night. Boro passed through them easily and really should have won the game at a canter.

Last night was the most frustrated I've been watching Boro for a long time.

Not taking our chances and being our usual selves in defence ie appalling. Being saying it all season. We will never get out of this league until we buy some defenders

LB - No where near
CB - Fry & McNair are not good enough
RB - No where near.

what do we expect

I only watched the second half mind. I suppose even in the second half they only had the two chances, whereas we had at least 4 good ones.

I thought Hull defended well though, under the cosh at lot but were determined and dogged.

McNair has been very good this season. Our best CB this year. Not counting the game against Leeds where he went off injured after half an hour, I think we've won 7 drawn 1 of the 10 games he's played At Centre Back. Not a coincidence. Played in all 4 cup games we've won too.
Same last season, our win ratio was much higher when he played than when he didn't.

Agreed.

Not been a huge McNair fan at CB in recent seasons but think he’s been very good this season.

Neither do we, I thought we were very poor last night and yet as you say we should have been out of sight by half time.
We were slow and ponderous and our passing in the final 3rd at times was pathetic. Had that not been the case, you wouldn't have had the chance of a comeback. We only have ourselves to blame.
