We’re going to War with...

The BBC write up on the ships is embarrassing.

‘2 large guns and short range anti aircraft”

reality is the batch one has 1 oerlikron 20mm and the batch 2 has 1 30mm bushmaster.

Other than that it’s a couple of GPMG’s strapped to the rails.

they have no air aircraft installed beyond pointing the gun into the sky

I do think it's strange to take French politicians threatening to cut off the electricity supply to Jersey and French fisherman attempting to blockade Jersey's ports as a Tory plot.

It's clearly not going to hurt the Tories if they handle it well, but the French fishermen are in the wrong here and the British government should absolutely be ensuring the security of British territory.

Not everything is a conspiracy by the wicked Tories.

The French fishermen never said they were going to block the port.
It’s a shame it’s going to be windy as there would be an Armada of dinghys coming across the Straits of Dover as the only ships patrolling them will be off Jersey!

I'm not even sure that I believe that Jersey is a real place. I've never been there and an island that's named after a pullover and a type of potato just seems to be a bit too silly to me. I don't really believe that America exists either because that place seems even sillier. All of those globes and atlases are just trolling us.

I agree, it certainly isn't a conspiracy by the wicked Tories but the Tories have caused it.

Jersey isn't part of the UK and never has been.
They don't have a Tory government, and they've done nothing wrong.

Let's wish power cuts on them though!
Hurray!
Really odd how the UK took over Jersey and Guernsey fishing rights in EU negotiations . . . then leave it to them to issue licences that dance to the UK tune. Jersey and Guernsey weren't happy about this when it was clear their waters became part of the agreement with the EU.

Anyone with a balanced view here as to who is in the wrong? I’ve heard french threatening to cut off Jerseys electricity supply and french fisherman planning blockades.

isit that they just don’t like the impact that brexit is having on them.

surely it should be easy enough to say who is in the wrong here?
