WBA v sunlun today

I dont care about Sunderland to be honest. Its in our own hands. Semi final second leg at home is all that is important. Lets smash it now.
 
I would certainly rather play Sunderland than WBA in the playoffs, in a semi final or final.

For me, I would rather us play in order of preference;

Millwall
Preston
Blackburn
Coventry
Sunderland
West Brom

In an ideal world, we get Millwall over two legs, wipe the floor with them and there is an upset in the other semi final and we get Coventry or Blackburn where I think we would be huge favourites.

I'd rather play West Brom than Sunderland in the play offs. We're a better team than them as the league table shows however they do have some good attacking players. Diallo, Clarke, Roberts and Pritchard can cause problems.
 
I am quite happy with that result.

We are now guaranteed a top 4 place, so will be at home for the Play Off semi second leg.

Of the play off sides - West Brom is the side that we have struggled against the most. The games against Sunderland we had no Ramsay or Archer and suffered a harsh ref decison.

If WBA fail to get promotion there will be pressure on them financially next season.

70 points is looking like the magic figure for 6th position.

The only issue I have with that is at this stage we have no idea if Ramsey, McGree and Forss will be back and 100% fit. We definitely need to wrap Akpom and Archer in cotton wool now though

Jack Clarke is a real danger and their defence is better than ours, especially with Fry out, but If we have to play them, I’d probably prefer it over 2 legs than in a one off Wembley final though, I could not bear losing to them at Wembley.
 
Blackburn and west brom have got 3 tricky games left .. i dont know if i could take a boro v sunderland playoff the way we didnt show up at their place. Those 2 dropped points against Huddersfield might come back to haunt them though

But the way Watford are playing at the moment you'd like to think it'll go to the last game for them and we could be the bl00dy team that helps them get that 6th spot!
 
Playoffs aren’t going to be easy whoever we are up against. On our day we should beat whoever finishes 5th or 6th and if we can’t over two legs we don’t deserve to go up.

Probably, but if they make the play-offs in their first season back, it's undoubtedly been a successful one.

Whatever the outcome.

If you're going to have a rivalry with a team, I don't see the point in doing it by halves.
 
Mogga doing a cracking job giving their injuries and Ellis being recalled.

Next they have a Watford team who are on the beach and hate their manager. Should be a cake walk.
