Northumbrian Water has had the cheek to put my water rates up by £64.37 a year and we are now paying £613.74. If anything these cheeky gits should be reducing what they charge until they got on top of crap they are pouring into our rivers and seas.

I'll show them tonight though, I'm going to stand out of the shower on the 30 minute mark and not get back in until I get goosebumps. ;) 🤣

I wonder if they will offer me free water for a year!

I suppose someone's got to keep NorthumberlandBoro and WeeGord in beer. 🤣🤣🤣

They need your £ Norman........
A company with a local name stuffing local people and polluting local rivers making over £200m a year................ for their Hong Kong owners 😡

Remember when we got our meter installed. UU stated as there was only 3 of us in the house our bills would be reduced. Went from £20-25 ish to £40 month.

Lying b*stards.

Get a meter, much cheaper for most people. We pay £23 a month with Northumbrian Water.
Just upped ours to £25 a month even though we are in credit. I think our problem is that our boiler is in the attic and it takes an age to get the hot water down so really wasting it till it gets warm. Need to fill pans up of the cold, how sad.

I find water bills rather odd. Ours has gone down from £50 to £45/month. We used to have a marine tank and I used to use well over 1000l/month to make my RO water for water changes. Got shot of the tank years ago and the usage and price stayed the same.

If any world government actually cared about the people they supposedly serve then basic necessities for life like water, heating, and electricity would all be free - they clearly don’t care about us, they only care about making money for themselves and their buddies who run these money making institutions.

The shareholders are feeling the affects of the economic pinch, and need their dividends topping up.

I've just been to my dads and his water rates have gone up to £70+ a month and he lives on his own. I've been in touch with them and he's getting a meter fitted. They said he would be charged on average £25 per month depending on usage. That is a huge difference.

I noticed on the bill that for every £1.16, 10p of it is profit. These services need to be nationalised again.
