Watching the game tomorrow at work

First time for everything I suppose. Guess it won’t be a first for a lot of you lot though who have worked evenings etc. It’s gonna feel bizarre but let’s hope we get the win. Still can’t get my head around a 3PM kick off but guess it means they can come back home straight after the game and get ready for Saturday.

Yeah, using a bit of time off in lieu tomorrow afternoon.....never known a 3pm on a normal work day before.

Ah man, lucky! I don’t get that. Just get payed holidays on shutdown period, off at Easter for a week 2 weeks in August and 3 weeks at Christmas. Good times to be off but I miss having that option of having a cheeky day or afternoon off when ever I need it. Ah well.

I'll be working the Reading match and I'm going to hate it.
Wouldn't mind if it we weren't deep in a relegation battle, I could handle only being able to half watch if it was a promotion push.

Horrible isn’t it mate. Can you watch it at work? The reason I am going to hate it is because the other fella in my office is a boro fan and he will be watching it aswell but I bet one of our streams is quicker than the other so one of us will be ahead and I absolutely hate anything like that. Totally takes the fun of watching it away as there is always a spoiler.

I'll probably have it on on my phone, but I doubt I can pay proper attention to it.

That's a problem I've been having with these matches since the restart, I keep reading live threads on the match and some people post that we've conceded about 30 seconds before it actually happens on my stream.
Hugill had just missed that absolute sitter on my screen when I found out we were losing.

I have been turning my phone off when watching it on laptop so don’t find out anything like that, it drives me crazy!

Yeah but it sounds like you're getting paid to watch the match?

I can remember going on the bus from Billingham (64 I think) to get the tickets, sat with Willie Maddren who was going to training or maybe treatment for an injury. Different times. Will be watching tomorrow, still think we’ll be ok

As a young schoolboy I remember legging it from Yarm for that game too
I remember going to that match. One of a few cracking matches around that time. A few work afternoon matches before the floodlights were installed as well.

It’s a good point and yes true that will be happening. But I will still be doing bits and bobs and I like to relax when I am watching the footy. But yes, I am lucky that I have a job where I can still see the game whilst I’m working.

It's not being done with fans in mind, it's earlier for the teams themselves.
The squad can get back up here on the same night with an earlier kick off.
Listening to talkSPORT earlier , and they said it so Boro didn’t have to stay over.
