La Liga and LiveScore have reached an agreement; Second-hand soccer for free! by streaming

La Liga and LiveScore have reached an agreement for the live sports results platform to broadcast three matches per day of the Second Division League by streaming until the end of this season, the club's employers' association reported in a statement.

With this alliance, each day three games will be broadcast live exclusively through the LiveScore application, which can now be seen for free in the United Kingdom and Ireland, where the streaming service provider and live sports news has more than 2 million users.

From now on, users will only need to open the streaming function in the LiveScore application and select the game in question to enjoy it. This agreement allows users of the application to approach historical clubs, such as Almería, Real Zaragoza, Málaga, Girona, Espanyol ... directly from their iOS and Android mobile devices.

The matches selected to be broadcast live during matchday 24 this weekend are Fuenlabrada-Almería, on Saturday 6, and Girona-Leganés and Lugo-Espanyol, on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 February, respectively.

I think it's a bit of a push to put Almeria (young upstarts) into the same "historical" category as the mighty Malaga and Espanyol ;)

That's a worse deal than before for the viewer. They were streaming the games on YouTube for UK viewers on their official account for free. Now you're stuck with having to watch on your phone or whatever Livescore has an app on.

The only people benefiting from this deal are the Spanish La Liga 2 teams. Not UK viewers.

155 countries it was available in according to a quick Google.

Having had a poke around it looks like this might be continuing.

I tend not to watch too much live footy involving the Boro or Almería. I get too nervous. I also think I might jinx them.

To be honest I haven't been taking a lot of notice of the local football this season but I did notice that the tercera leagues have got a lot smaller. A guy at work says it because they are reorganising them. What's happening?

Any the wiser after reading the explanation below? I understand about this season but next.....

Because the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) suspended the previous season on 11 March 2020 at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain,[2] the RFEF announced on 6 May the revocation of all relegations from the Segunda B and Tercera divisions, and the expansion of both leagues. Each regional federation was allowed to plan their own group for the 2020–21 season and as this season became somewhat shorter than usual, the RFEF recommended the subdivision of each region into two groups in the first phase for ease of scheduling, with a final phase in which the teams regroup based on initial positions.[3]

Also, the Tercera División is to drop down to the fifth level and Segunda B to the fourth, with Tercera suffixing the federation's Spanish initials RFEF to its name and Segunda B replacing the B with those initials on the creation of a new, two-group, 40-team third division called Primera División RFEF that will begin in 2021–22

Wow. That is a difficult read.

I see that you are playing against our B team at some point.
