It was about this tight greedy money worshipping tory miser who hated the working classes and revelled in seeing them struggle, he dispisied them getting a paud day off and never gave his staff a rise.
Anyway on Christmas eve he goes through this transformation which points out the errors of his ways and what really matters.
Low and behold Christmas day he wakes up a caring compassionate socialist and goes out of his way to help others less fortunate.
Very heart warming.
This dickens fella will go a long way

It was intended to be just that as dickens wasn’t just an author he was a social commentator and set out to change theee evils by highlighting them In such a way that they would be seen by a mass audience.
A good Pompey lad was Dickens.

in todays chaos and destruction, Ken Loach does reflective modern versions through his work in film.

I wrote something similar to post on Boxing Day and then deleted it thinking I was just point scoring. Reading your post made me smile.

If only we could get those in charge haunted instead of them haunting us.
