Warnock on signing Watmore

That's the problem with all these stats.

They should just be used as an indicator. No doubt Bausor was mad with Warnock and sort his revenge at the appropriate time. Watmore was a good player Warnock knew that the stats said otherwise.
No wonder Gibson appointed Kieron Scott to take charge of transfers.

You have to say he was very much the reason we signed Watmore. You can't knock him for that.

The stats didn't add up. I mean I pretty much posted 'why are we signing an injury prone none scoring winger?' or something like that😂. I think the large majority did.

It's fair to say he was a terrific signing. I know he wanted to go to Millwall. Yet we could have done with him all those weeks without a CF. You'd have him ahead of Silvera or Greenwood.

Just nice to see him playing and remaining injury free. He's pretty much stayed fit after those horrific injuries. That's some effort.

Tbf the majority of us were a bit dubious too. He barely kicked a ball in months. Turns out Warnock was right and Watmore proved not only to be a good and important player but a workaholic and a great lad to boot.

But I have no problem with people having reservations about the signing.

Wasn't Watmore a punt outside the transfer window? It's not like he was a particularly big risk on a short term contract. This is a club who dropped £3.5m on Adlene Guedioura.

If true, bit odd Bausor would block it based on his stats. Sees himself as a football expert now does he? Thought that's what we employ specialists for.

If only Bausor had said no to Monk and Pulis a few times. Seems odd the man would happily let them **** away £7m transfer fees on the likes of Fletcher, Saville and Flint but then has a problem when Warnock asks if he can sign a free agent on a 5 month contract 🙄
